Davitamon vitamin K Oil is specifically formulated for babies who are breastfed, to meet the need for vitamin K.
Why vitamin K for babies?
Vitamin K plays an important role in blood clotting. The body makes vitamin K in the gut itself, but in infants it is not sufficient. Shortly after birth, babies get all the standard vitamin K administered by the obstetrician or gynecologist.
Breast milk does not provide enough in the required amount of vitamin K. Therefore, babies who are wholly or largely breastfeeding needed during the first three months of vitamin K. Vitamin K is added to bottle feeding.
Opinion of Health Council
The Health recommends 150 mcg of vitamin K per day for babies who are breastfed from day 8 to 12 weeks. This quantity is in a daily dose of 5 drops Davitamon vitamin K Oil. The drops to the baby can be administered just before breastfeeding with a spoon or by dripping onto the nipple.
